Café Paris
A “must-visit” in Sintra’s historical centre
The restaurant is located in the historic centre opposite the Royal Palace. It has been open since 1945 and is a venue with a unique atmosphere and decades of outstanding service. It has become a place for socializing, and is considered the most emblematic eatery in the historical centre.
2710-616 Sintra - Portugal
It is with great honor and pride that through the decades we have welcomed and served numerous members of the European Royal Houses, Heads of State, writers, artists and national and foreign intellectuals.
In 1984 all the distinguishing features that maintain the refined and romantic atmosphere of Sintra were restored: the frescos on the ceiling, the marbling on the walls and the gilded mirror frames. In the dining room, the French palatial style of the eighteenth century has been maintained.
The restaurant offers traditional Portuguese cuisine and some classics from international cuisine, complemented by a list of fabulous Portuguese wines compiled by our knowledgeable sommelier.
The star of the fish menu is the traditional cod with cornbread (Bacalhau com Broa), and from the meat menu you cannot miss the Café Paris Steak.
This is a place to visit and reminisce about!
